Looking for a Roommate - Female

119 comments:

  1. I am looking for a roommate for nights November 3-7, check out November 8 in the Hyatt Regency Miami. Non-smoker. I am very low-key, will likely just want some time on my own with my Kindle or my laptop to assimilate the day. I don't particularly like having TV going on in the background, and I tend to knock out early-ish (8-9 pm) so I won't be coming in late. If interested, please reply privately to joanna.celeste@gmail.com

  2. I am looking for a roommate, preferably in the conference hotel. Planning on arriving on the Wednesday and leaving on Sunday. I am a non-smoker. I also am not real keen on the TV going and prefer to chill in quiet (computer) for a bit before going to bed. gertoeng@jill-sommer.com

    1. Hi Jill,
I would be interested in sharing a room with you. I just reserved one with two beds at the conference hotel for Wednesday through Sunday. I am a young Spanish to English translator and this will be my first ATA conference.
I am not big on TV either and will need some quiet time at the end of the day. I don't smoke.
If you're interested, write me at sallyseward1@gmail.com.

    2. My mistake: my reservation is not through Sunday, it's through Saturday (so Wed., Thur., Fri. nights).

    3. Hi Sally,

I ended up booking a single king size room since I am staying through Sunday, but thanks for offering. I'm sure you will find someone here. See you there!

  3. I have a room reservation at the conference hotel with 2 double beds and am looking for a roommate for 2 nights from Wednesday, Nov. 4, to Friday, Nov. 6 (i. e. for Wednesday and Thursday night). I am a non-smoker. TV does not bother me. I tend to come in late because I try to take advantage of everything that is going on at the conference. I also intend to get up early (6:00) to go to zumba because it is so much fun. I am easy-going and flexible. If interested, please send me an email to mmarcano@mm-translations.com. My name is Marita and I am an English/Spanish/French to German translator.

  7. Hi everyone,

Due to a hectic summer, I'm a little late on this, so I'm hoping someone out there is still looking too. I'm looking for a roommate (or two) to share a room at the alternate hotel from check in on the 3rd (Tuesday) to check out on the 8th (Sunday). I'm generally pretty quiet, very friendly. I do smoke, but strictly outdoor only so nothing smells. I'm probably going to be out most of the time as I like to take the most of every opportunity, but I'm also willing to introduce people if you're new to / unsure about the conference scene.

Alternatively, I'm looking to join a group of people at the Conference hotel (Hyatt) for the same dates, or as many as possible (at least Friday and Saturday nights, more are ok too), as I'm presenting on Saturday afternoon.

I'd be willing to pay for half the room if the room was being split three ways (obviously if it's just me and one other, I'd pay half). Please let me know as soon as you are able. My email is abryant@tamlyntranslations.com and Skype: abryant.tt

    Thanks in advance!

  8. Hi All,

I've booked a double room at the Hyatt from November 4 to November 7 (Wednesday to Saturday) and am looking for a roommate.

I'm very quiet, friendly, a non-smoker, and I like to go to bed at a reasonable time in order to be fresh for the next day's activities. Since I'm a fairly light sleeper I need a non-snoring roommate.

  18. Hi,

There are two of us (one American and one Swiss, though we both currently live in Bogotá, Colombia) looking for a room from Wednesday until Sunday (four nights total), preferably the Hyatt. We are both a mix of quiet and friendly and plan to be very active at the conference. We are also willing to take over someone's reservation, should they need to cancel it, or stay with someone even if they are leaving on Saturday, as we could likely arrange with the hotel to stay an extra night. If interested, please contact me: jacobyks@gmail.com
